Jason Sisneros founded Rising Star Academy after spending over half of his life coaching youth, middle school, high school and college soccer in the US. Jason coached for the 22-time National Champion women's soccer program at the University of North Carolina. In his five seasons at Carolina, (2012-2016), Jason served as Director of Match Analysis, Assistant Coach, and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator. During this time, the Tar Heels won the 2012 NCAA National Championship, 2013 ACC Conference Championship, 2016 ACC Tournament Championship and made a record setting 27th appearance in the 2016 College Cup.

While coaching at North Carolina, Jason founded the fifth division semi-professional men's soccer club, Triangle Brigade FC. Within the club's first season, Jason led the team to a U.S. Open Cup qualification after winning the oldest organized soccer tournament in the United States, the Werner Fricker Cup. Under Jason's leadership, Brigade FC was rated a top four adult semi-professional soccer club in the US. The club attracted players from the US, Brazil, India, New Zealand and the UK and placed three players into professional soccer leagues in the United States, India and Croatia.

Before his success at the University of North Carolina and Brigade FC, Jason had a vision for a soccer program that helped improve opportunities for young players to grow as people through their involvement in soccer. His original concept began in 2001, with the foundation of his first camp and training program, Sisneros Academy Soccer in Tacoma, Washington. As Jason's coaching and life experience grew, his vision to support and encourage the personal growth of young people through soccer never waivered and in 2016 Jason committed himself to the evolution of what he started as a young coach with the formal launch of Rising Star Academy.

Jason's passion for the game and working with young people has grown into a platform that reaches soccer players and soccer families around the world. Rising Star Academy works with players and organizations in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Japan, Australia, India and is growing every year!

As a result of Jason Sisneros and Rising Star Academy, many of our program alums have gone on to play in college and professional levels, including NCAA championships, national team caps, world championships and remarkable accolades, however, the true impact of Jason's vision can be seen with the young men and women that have gone on from soccer and are succeeding in careers off the soccer field, raising their families and paying the opportunities they were afforded forward in their own coaching and community involvement.
